Chef Grace Derieux

Born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I developed an immense admiration for the colors, flavors, smells, and textures of food at a very young age. I began my culinary journey when I was fresh out of high school, working in restaurants in the historic city of Old San Juan while attending culinary school. I got my big shot when my friend and restaurant owner, Carlos Soto, asked me to join him for his new venture as the head Chef of what would become one of the coolest pizza and tapas restaurants in Old San Juan, La Ó! It was there where I really got my hands in flour and water, and fell in love with the feeling of transforming two simple ingredients into something so substantial and universally loved. I learned how to make pasta and pizza, and from then on those has been some of my favorite things to make. And now, I would love to share that experience with you!
